I was born in Kosovo in 1990. When war broke out at the age of 8, I was forced to leave my native country. Accompanied by my family, we left to join my father in Switzerland.

Skilled with my hands, at the end of my mandatory studies, I decided to do an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker.
Being an artist at heart, I've loved drawing since I was very young. Unfortunately, the creative opportunities in woodworking are limited in Switzerland, so I decided to choose another path.
At the age of 21, after an internship in a small manufacture, I fell in love with the world of watchmaking. I then began my watchmaking apprenticeship with Patek Philippe.

Three years later, with my CFC in my pocket, I received an offer from my employer to join the after-sales department which I turned down to start my very first job as a complications watchmaker at MHC "Manufacture Haute Complication".

In 2015, I join my brother, founder of the Akrivia brand, as a watchmaker until I left in 2022.
For almost four years now, I've been toying with the idea of creating my own creations, because I'm first and foremost an artist who loves to draw and design concepts.
After months of work and design, the "Xhevdet Rexhepi" brand was born.On January 30th, 2023, the first watch made entirely by Xhevdet Rexhepi was unveiled to the public.

Inspired by the past to build the present,
that's what I've set myself as my mission with my haute horlogerie watch brand.
